Creating Bird Feeders with Mother Goose Time

Mother Goose Time always comes with fun activities, but a few always stand out as the girls' favorite. This month's was this Make and Play Bird Feeder. After learning about birds all month long, the girls were eager to feed the birds on their own.

This Make and Play was super simple, yet perfect for little hands!

Pipe Cleaner, ribbons and instructions were included. We strung Cheerios on our Pipe Cleaner and of course ate some as well. Bella was very independent on this project and strung all of her Cheerios by herself! I helped Trinity, but she worked very hard on trying to get the Cheerios on by herself too.

Our finished products were pretty picture perfect! The girls were excited to go hang them on our tree outside!

They fit perfectly in our tree and the girls loved going outside and hanging them.

Once they were hung we watched from our front window. The girls have been watching it every day and love that they created the bird feeders themselves. They get so excited to check on them!

A Peek Inside Homeschooling This Week

April's Mother Goose Time box featured everything about Birds & Eggs. After a week of "work-ation" we got to come home and double up on some MGT activities! That is the main thing I love about Mother Goose Time, your schedule and set up is completely up to you. While they set up everything you could possibly need for a daily routine, sometimes life happens and you do less activities or may want to do even more!

The girls were happy to get home and get back to a normal routine. They missed all of our crafts, reading and activities.

One thing the girls enjoyed was this Eagle Eye project. While Bella is 3 and Trinity is 1, they were both able to play this game in their own way.

Bella loved finding the items and matching them with her cards. She recognized the number on the card, and found that same number in each item.

Trinity enjoyed looking at each item and having me name off what they are.

After learning about Eagle eyes and how great they can see, the girls created binoculars. Trinity even loved coloring the cups!

Bella loved peeking through her binoculars. But, we needed something to find!

After our binoculars, we decided to create on of our other day's bird beaks and "bird watch" each other.

Bella loved her beak and learning all about birds. While each day seems like only fun, there are so many new things we are learning with each new activity. Bella really enjoyed learning about bird beaks this week and how they don't have teeth. She loved that fact!

A Look Inside April's Experience God

As you know, I homeschool with Mother Goose Time which is an amazing preschool homeschool curriculum kit. This kit comes with EVERYTHING you could ever imagine and more for 20 days of school and activities. In addition to this, I also use it's amazing add on: Experience God. This add on supplies you with everything to make your Mother Goose Time into a Christian based curriculum.

I absolutely love Experience God and all the things it helps me teach my girls!

I know this post is a little late, but here is what came in April's box! Each month will come with a new theme, new supplies and new lessons.

Each month you receive a new lesson plan with a new theme. This month is "God is The Holy Spirit".

Inside you will find an overview of all the supplies that come with the Experience God Curriculum, along with an overview of what you will be teaching.

Here is a closer look at all of the topics we have been learning this month!

Each month you also receive a new Bible Verse poster! We hang these in our classroom each month. I love that we have a little collection of wonderful verses.

You will also receive these great and colorful story cards. The girls are always attracted by the great art and kid-friendly way the stories are written.

On the back are the stories, which I love because the girls can look at the photos while I read from the back.

Next (of course) is my favorite part! This is the Child Art Pack (which you can add on for only $5!). These crafts are always so fun and creative. They help teach Bella a lesson, while having fun. We do them each Sunday (since 4 are included).  Here is lesson 1:

If you've been interested in homeschooling, and focusing on a Christian based curriculum I absolutely recommend the Experience God add on from Mother Goose Time! It is the perfect addition to the Mother Goose Time monthly kit.

Celebrating Easter Mother Goose Time Style!

Today is Good Friday, so I saved today to focus on Jesus and Easter during Homeschooling! As you know, we use Mother Goose Time and this month's box included a free Easter Celebration Pack. This pack was filled with games, projects and ideas!

First, we started our day by reading some of our favorite Bible centered books. We learned about Good Friday and how Jesus will rise again on Easter! After we understood what Easter was all about, we started our Easter celebration!

The Easter Celebration Kit came with this booklet filled with all of our instructions and ideas!

First, I decided to start with the "5 Little Bunnies" story with finger puppets!

I recited the poem while the girls took one bunny off at a time. We probably did this about 6 times haha The girls loved it!

They even took turns wearing the bunnies themselves.

Next, we created our egg shakers (items included). We filled them with coffee beans. They sound good AND smell good!

The girls love their Egg Shakers! They have been using them all day!

Next, we decided to play Easter charades! I didn't even know a 3 year old could play charades, but man was Bella awesome at it!

I cut apart these cards and had Bella pick one and act it out. It was pretty awesome to see the way she decided to represent each card!

This was her acting like a bunny!  It was so much fun!

Lastly, we played Bella's favorite game: Pin the Tail on the... Bunny! Bella loves being blindfolded and trying to find the bunny. It was quite hilarious for me as well haha

She did awesome!

That's one happy girl!

Today was an awesome day and yet again, Mother Goose Time is the reason! I love their celebration packs and getting to do such fun stuff with the girls.

After months of being a paying customer, I received this month's box for free in return for my honest experiences!
