Homeschooling This Week is for the Birds

This week we started our new Mother Goose Time box which is always super exciting! This month's theme is Birds & Eggs. This is a monthly homeschooling curriculum kit that comes with 20 days worth of lesson plans, activities, supplies and SO MUCH MORE! Did I forget to mention it is SUPER affordable which makes it just that more amazing?

Since Trinity (my 17 month old) has now started homeschooling with Bella (my 3 year old) we have had to find creative ways to entertain both of them at the same time. This week proved to be pretty easy! With the new topic the kids were excited to see all the new items!

First, we opened our monthly Puzzle and new Manipulatives. These update each month and are always the girls go-to items! Bella worked on the puzzle while Trinity filled an empty water bottle with the new link manipulatives while I prepped all of our new supplies for the month.

Bella has dramatically improved on her puzzle solving skills. I love to see her accomplish a new puzzle each month! The puzzle goes directly with the Monthly Book included in your kit, so we decided to read our new book when we were ready!

This month's book is simple, bright and super interactive! The kids loved it!

After the book was read (twice of course) we started on our first project: building a nest! This was super fun because Bella learned how Bird's collect their items and build their nests out of a variety of materials.

Bella cut up small pieces of paper, added shredded paper and created her own perfect nest. Trinity enjoyed ripping up her own paper and transferring it around the room :)

After our nests were built, we scavenged for all of our bird stuffed animals. We created bird families and had them sit with their eggs. These little acts, even though they seem like all fun, taught Bella so much new information about birds like how they lay eggs, how they nest, and so much more!
This is going to be a fun month! I can't wait to share it with you!

After months of being a paying customer, I was given this month's box for free in exchange for sharing my personal experiences!
